Gordian Knot
An all instrumental progressive rock/metal/jazz fusion band. Their stuff is all instrumental, so obviously it's clean, and it's ridiculously awesome if you're into weird music.

Frost* (Not heavy metal but they're awesome so they go on here)
The album Milliontown is completely clean, and Experiments in Mass Appeal has one song with a cuss and an obscenity (Welcome to Nowhere)
Metallica (incomplete)
Sometimes clean, sometimes not. Preoccupied with death sometimes. None of their albums are completely clean as far as I know.
All Nightmare Long
Bad Seed
Battery
Better Than You
Devil's Dance
Enter Sandman
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Hero of The Day
Low Man's Lyric
Master of Puppets
Motorbreath
No Leaf Clover
Nothing Else Matters
Of Wolf and Man
Phantom Lord
Slither
The Four Horsemen
The Memory Remains
The Unforgiven I
The Unforgiven II
Through the Never
Until It Sleeps
Where the Wild Things Are
Wherever I May Roam
Album Review: ReLoad
Fuel has one major cuss (which makes no sense in context), and Attitude has a cuss in the chorus. Carpe Diem Baby doesn't exactly have any cusses, but it has several major non-cuss-obscenities. Fixxxer portrays God as poking voodoo dolls of us for fun, and Prince Charming just creeps me out. Other than that, it is clean (except for possible questions about Unforgiven II's theme) and in my opinion a pretty good album, though I wouldn't pay a whole lot for it. 9 of the 13 songs are clean, aside from the issues with Fixxxer and maybe Unforgiven II (the best I can tell is that Unforgiven II is about cheating on a partner at the beginning, and then making things right at the end).
Clean Songs include:
All Nightmare Long

Dream Theater (incomplete)
Usually clean, cussing/thematic elements are both rare.
Completely clean albums (no cussing etc.) include
Images and Words,
Scenes from a Memory,
Octavarium,
Black Clouds and Silver Linings
Systematic Chaos (The Dark Eternal Night and In the Presence of Enemies Pts 1 and 2 each have religious references to hell)
Mostly clean albums include
Falling Into Infinity (Burning My Soul has one cuss in the 3rd verse)
Awake (The Mirror has 2 cusses, Erotomania is instrumental, but I wouldn't go throwing the name around unless everyone knows that)
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (War Inside My Head, The Test That Stumped Them All, and Goodnight Kiss each have 1 cuss)
Here's my new blog. I got tired of looking up the lyrics all the time before buying albums, so I and my minions will be using this as our list of clean heavy metal. Please note that we don't consider screamo, death metal, black metal, metal core, or related sub-genres as metal, and they will not be listed here.
